Trewince Holiday Lodges Installs 28 Voltshare Chargers Across the Park

The landscape of travel is evolving, with sustainability and convenience becoming increasingly pivotal for modern holidaymakers. In response to this shift, and recognising the growing prevalence of electric vehicles, Trewince Holiday Lodges, nestled within the scenic Roseland Peninsula near Portscatho in Cornwall, has taken a proactive step.
This initiative, in partnership with voltshare, involves the strategic deployment of EV charging infrastructure across a significant portion of their accommodations, reflecting a commitment to both environmental responsibility and enhanced guest experience.
The journey began in 2024 with the installation of a single voltshare charger at one of the lodges. The positive feedback from the lodge owner, who was particularly impressed with the charger's performance and the system's ease of use, proved to be a catalyst for broader adoption. This initial success paved the way for a more comprehensive installation project across the site.

Trewince Holiday Lodges, situated on a 26-acre estate, offers a tranquil retreat characterised by panoramic sea views and a range of amenities designed to provide guests with a comfortable and restorative stay. The property, encompassing self-catering wooden lodges and timeshare accommodations, features an indoor pool, spa facilities, and a fitness center, catering to a diverse clientele seeking relaxation and exploration of the Cornish coastline. Given the increasing adoption of electric vehicles among travelers, the management and lodge owners recognised the strategic importance of integrating robust charging solutions.
The collaboration with voltshare has now resulted in the installation of a total of 28 EV charging units. This includes 11 chargers at lodges owned by the park's management, ensuring consistent availability for their guests. Additionally, 16 individual site owners have chosen to install voltshare chargers at their respective lodges, further expanding the network.

This comprehensive integration provides several key benefits, addressing the evolving needs of contemporary travelers:
- Facilitating EV Travel: The provision of on-site charging infrastructure removes a significant logistical barrier for guests with EVs, enabling seamless travel and exploration of the region.
- Supporting Regional Sustainability Goals: Cornwall, renowned for its natural beauty, is committed to sustainable tourism practices. The installation of EV charging infrastructure aligns with these objectives, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions within the region.
- Enhancing Market Competitiveness: In a competitive hospitality market, the provision of EV charging facilities serves as a significant differentiator. This amenity enhances the appeal of Trewince Holiday Lodges, attracting discerning guests seeking both comfort and sustainability.
- Supporting Individual Lodge Owners' Assets: Because many of the lodges are individually owned and used as holiday lets, the addition of EV charging stations significantly enhances the value and marketability of these properties, increasing their appeal to potential renters.
- Future Proofing the Business: As EV adoption continues to rise, Trewince is now positioned to remain ahead of the curve, and continue attracting guests for years to come.
Voltshare is committed to providing accessible and reliable EV charging solutions, and the partnership with Trewince Holiday Lodges exemplifies this dedication. The successful integration of these facilities underscores the importance of proactive adaptation within the hospitality industry to accommodate the evolving demands of modern travel.
